Aishwarya Rai to work with Rituparno Ghosh once again

 

Aishwarya Rai has already worked with National Award-winning director Rituparno Ghosh in ‘Chokher Bali’ and ‘Raincoat’ and has been appreciated by critics for her performance in both the flicks. Once again, she will work under the direction of Ghosh, this time for the role of a bandit queen in the adapted film version of Devi Chaudhurani.

Devi Chaudhurani is a novel by Bengali writer Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1884 and is regarded as one of the most popular novels of its times. In order to get a grip into her character, Ash has asked for the DVDs of Suchitra Sen’s film which is about how a typical affluent housewife turns into the leader of a pack of dacoits.

Ghosh and Ash have sat together a couple of times to work on the storyline of the film and how it should be adapted in a modern context and now, as the script has been finalized and handed over to Ash, she is about to allot dates for the shooting. Sarah Jane Dias, ex Miss India World and VJ, has made her presence felt with her glamour in Abhinay Deo’s ‘Game’ especially in hot number ‘Kaisi Sunao Mein Yeh Dastaan’. She had to prepare for the song’s shoot for over a month.

“The song has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant and I was trained by her assistant. The track has a burlesque theme and I had to get the steps right as a group of guys would keep lifting me throughout as part of the steps,” she said.

Sarah appears on the cover of Maxim India April 2011 edition. Though Sarah looks her hottest best, the magazine needs to come up with something new for its covers.

Sarah is also in talks for other projects but prefers not to talk about it much. “I am extremely superstitious about all this,” she says.

Dias has also acted in a Tamil movie Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai (Restless Playboy) which released in January this year. Written and directed by Thiru Krishnamoorthy, the film stars Vishal Krishna, Neetu Chandra and Tanushree Dutta. /bollywood-stars.net

31- year old actress, Konkona Sen Sharma, who tied the knot with Ranvir Shorey in September and delivered a baby boy on March 15, graces the cover of OK! magazine for the month of April. The actress and husband Ranvir Shorey have named their newborn Haroon.

Rahul Bose broke the news on Twitter saying, “Massive congratulations to @konkonas and Ranvir! A boy it is. With those genes, the dynasty is secure. (sic)”

Actor Vivek Oberoi and tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi also congratulated the couple.

In the latest issue of OK! India, Koko talks about pregnancy and motherhood. She says, “The pregnancy has meant a complete change in lifestyle. I used to be a smoker, overnight I couldn’t smoke or drink at all.”

“He (hubby Ranvir Shorey) is very good with kids, thank God, because I am really awkward around children.

We were both keen on having a baby soon though — because you know they say you should have your kids before a certain age. The movie has Koena play a bisexual girl who gets attracted to men and women equally. The movie also features actor Kevin Sorbo and Chris Devicchio. The first poster of the film shows Koena getting intimate with another girl.

Producer Hirshenson is all praises for Koena and says, “She looks international and her discipline and hard work can take her places. It all depends on how much she’s ready to learn.”

And it seems, the producer is quite right as this model-turned-actress has worked on her accent and was taking classes for it as the West puts more stress on dubbing and other technicalities.

Salman Khan’s last hit ‘Dabangg’ had it all to woo the audience- action, comedy, glamour, romance and all masalas in just the right proportion. Now, Salman Bhai is ready with his next, ‘Ready’ starring himself and Asin.

The first trailer of the flick is out and it once again promises the typical Salman Masala with full time romance, dance, masti and action. The movie directed by Anees Bazmee is the remake of a successful Telugu film with the same name and is set for June 3 release. The musical notes for the film are from Pritam.

Apart from Salman and Asin, the movie stars Paresh Rawal, Arya Babbar and Mahesh Manjrekar who all are in supporting roles. Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Kangana Ranaut, Zarine Khan and Arbaaz Khan will make cameo appearances in the film.

The organisers of the first Tattoo Convention in India have chosen beautiful Deepika Padukone as the ‘Tattoo Queen’ of India. Deepika is already known for sporting the initials of her former boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor’s initials at the nape of her neack. Later, she modified the tattoo to ‘TMK’.

Also, she sports the ‘Dum Maro Dum’ tattoo on her waistline in the remixed song in the upcoming film Dum Maaro Dum. It was seeing this song that IndiaInk Invention got in touch with her and requested her to visit their first-ever convention which took place here on April 10. Unfortunately, Deepika could not attend the convention as she in London shooting for ‘Desi Boyz’. To make up for her absence, she forwarded the invitation to her Dum Maaro Dum team. Abhishek Bachchan, Prateik and Rohan Sippy attended the convention instead.

She will also host an auction to raise funds for tsunami-hit Japan. The award will be received and the auction will be hosted by her on April 28.

Trisha Krishnan born 4th May 1983 as Trisha Krishnamurthy in Palakkad, India, is a Tamil-born actress in the Tamil and Telugu film industry. She rose to fame with her roles in Saamy and Ghilli.

Born in a middle-class family to Krishnan and Uma Krishnan in Kerala, the Tamil Iyer actress got her early education from Church Park School and pursued her higher education in Ethiraj College, Chennai.

The next huge film she took part in followed immediately afterwards, was Ghilli with Vijay, which was a remake of Telugu blockbuster Okkadu.
